The tricks we played
By Barry Dela Serna Arriola
Ever the awkward moment, as i got closer and warmer.
i got inside that room, as you sat at the corner.
The biggest smile i got, when i said your name,
and that started this whole game.
I got stumped with your chemistry,
maybe i should try the one with history.
because i cant balance your H2O,
and i can't think of anywhere else to go.
those hand tricks, all our nonsense,
you just got lucky with the coin trick, it ain't coincidence
The thing you did when i place my left hand over my face,
and that smile you had that i just cant erase.
the clock has struck, and there's work to be done.
we had one last laugh, and all had fun.
Just so you know, you know more than i do,
and I'll smile for sure, the next time that I'm with you.
